Arak city is restricted to Tafresh in north, Hamedan and Malayer in west, Mahalat in east, and khomeyn and Sarband in south. The average height of the city is 1700 meter above sea level. As for vastness, it is the second after Saveh. Arak city is being neighbor to Mighan desert and having heights .. etc, has a climatic fluctuation. Generally mild summer and sever winter are features of the climate.
Its important mountains are Rasvand, Sefid khani, Haftadgholeh, also, one may name its main river as Shra with its tributary Mohajeran and Kole in western part of Arak and joins in Khandab with Gharechay River and flows toward Hamedan.

Historical Arak Bazar complex, Charfasl (Four seasons) Bath, historical Sepahdar school, Underground city of Zolfabad Historical monument of Pir Morad, Sarogh Anjdan, Emamzadeh Shahzadeh Hossain, Shahzadeh Mohammad Abed Shrine, Borzoy Rahgard fire temple, Karvansara historical building, Emamzadeh Ebrahim, Emamzadeh Hava Khaton, Emamzadeh Haftad-o-do tan in Sarough.

Natural attractions
Ghareh chay springs (Shara and Mohajeran rivers) streaming in west of Arak along with green lands in the riverbank and also mountainous places for mountain climbing is separating this section of the city from the other parts. Chapgholi and Keykhosro springs (Sarab hak). Arak is famous for the expansion of the lime and dolomite caves and there are many of them; to name some Ghalejigh cave and its mysterious shrine, Sefid Khani cave, Anjdan cave, Asily Cave, Lake and desert of Mighan.
